I have an LCD screen which is too close to the wall, and requires further distance to allow cables to connect.
My LCD screen mounting holes are 200X100, are Barkan 30 series mounts suitable for this screen?

Yes, but the assembly instruction changes slightly. You should assemble 2 arms vertically, instead of 4 on angle. please refer to the diagrams below:
We have several options to solve this. One of them is to connect the VESA plate and long arms as shown in the following diagrams. See the marked holes which indicate where to connect the LCD.

The problem is a result of the light screen weight (minimum less then 55lbs / 25kg). To solve the problem, the spring in the back of the tilt mechanism needs to be removed, as shown in following diagram.
How to take apart the spring of the tilt mechanism:
1.1. Put the tilt mechanism on a table so that the flat side is facing up
2.2. With a wrench (size ½) open the 3 bolts (see Diag 1):

3. After opening the 3 nuts push the bolts through and put the washers aside (don’t loose the bolts, washers and nuts! )
4. Turn the tilt mechanism gently around while holding all the parts together with your hands.
5. Lift the smallest outer plate which will now allow you to remove the spring by taking it out of the holes it’s connected to. See Fig 2.

6. Replace the plate lifted in point 5 and reconnect the bolts – washers – spring washer – nuts, close the nuts and tighten. See pic 3 for connection order.

ANSWER 1.5: The problem is a result of the tilting mechanism being too loose. In order to tighten the tilting mechanism, please perform the following: On the side of the mount, near where it is attached to the screen, there are nuts (bolts) with hexagonal holes suitable for an Allen key, which are supplied with the mount.
For models 21, 31& 32 follow directive from section 1, for models 33-35 follow directive from section 2:
1. remove the screen from the mount
2. tight the nuts slightly using Allen key.
3. reconnect the screen to the mount.
Check that the screen tilts with a reasonable amount of force on the screen, and that the screen does not tilt down by its own weight. If so, repeat stages 1 - 3 to tighten the nuts further.
ANSWER 1.6: The problem is a result of the tilting mechanism being too tight. In order to loosen the tilting mechanism, please perform the following:
On the side of the mount, near where it is attached to the screen, there are nuts (bolts) with hexagonal holes suitable for an Allen key, which are supplied with the mount.
Release the nuts slightly using the Allen key - (if you can't reach the mechanism bolt - remove the screen from the mount). Then reconnect the screen to the mount. Check that the screen tilts with a reasonable amount of force on the screen, and that the screen does not tilt down its own weight. If so, repeat stages 1 - 3 to tighten the nuts further.
ANSWER 1.7: A hollow block wall is weaker than a full concrete wall. Masonry anchors supplied by Barkan are specially suited for both hollow block walls and full concrete walls. When the screw is fastened, it expands inside the hollow block and prevents detachment of the anchor from the wall. In order to create this expansion, after the screw head touches the wall plate, the screw must be rotated up to 2 times in a concrete wall or up to 9 times in a hollow block wall.
ANSWER 1.8: The nuts and screws supplied with the mounts are only suitable for constructed surfaces made of: concrete, concrete hollow blocks, heavy solid bricks, wood studs. Accessories are not suitable for attachment to gypsum walls, Autoclub Aerated Concrete or silicate blocks, weak or very old blocks. ANSWER 1.9:The M bag includes various bolts for connecting the mount to the LCD/ Plasma (the bolts may change in size according to the evolution of screen market requirements).
The shift in models 34, 44, 54 derives from built-in compensation angles, designed as part of the functionality of these models.
The compensation angles assure that the mount will stay vertical in every viewing position, near and away from the wall.
When adjusting the mount (tilt, turn or swivel), the compensation angles may create a minor incline of the screen.
In order to return the screen to original upright position, use the tool-free leveling mechanism. Gently hold both sides of the screen and turn the screen clockwise/counter clockwise respectively.

ANSWER 2.1: The Elegant Audio/ Video shelf (model 80) is suitable for all LCD / Plasma wall mounts and integrate perfectly with Barkan models: 23, 24, 32, 33, 34, 43, 44, 80 & 83 .
It can carry up to 3 components (VCR + DVD/ converter/ satellite box & other components) with max weight up to 55lbs/ 25 kg.
ANSWER 2.2: Due to possible deviations in wall drilling, mount length, and multiple rotation options, a leveling mechanism has been integrated into the mount, in order to overcome potential skewing of the screen. Parts of this mechanism may have loosened and may need to be retightened. Level so parallel to the floor, and fix to the desired viewing position.
ANSWER 2.3: The tilt mechanism may be too loose. Follow these instructions to tighten the mount tilt mechanism:
Remove the projector from the ceiling fixture of the mount. Tighten the following axis:
2.1 Using 2 Allen keys, tighten the leveling axis.
2.2 Using a 11mm screwdriver open end wrench, tighten the tilt axis.
Reattach the projector to the ceiling fixture.
ANSWER 2.4: The screen leaning backwards or forwards is a result of attachment to a wall not perpendicular (90˚) to the floor. The screen may be straightened by carrying out the following steps:
1- Remove the screen from the wall plate.
2- Using a spirit level, measure to what degree the wall is not perpendicular (90˚) to the floor.
3- Slightly release all the screws attaching the wall plate to the wall. a. Should the screen be leaning forward, remove the lower screws and reattach using two 2 mm washers (not included) between the wall plate and the wall.
b. Should the screen be leaning backwards, remove the upper screws and reattach using 2 mm washers (not included) between the wall plate and the wall.
4- Retighten all the screws on the wall plate.
5- Using the spirit level re-measure to what degree the wall is perpendicular (90˚) to the floor. Should the wall still not be straight, carry out steps 3-5 again adding another set of washers.
6- Reattach the screen to the wall plate.
ANSWER 2.5: In these models, the ”second” digit indicates the number of movements or directions in which the screen may be turned (in this case 2 directions, meaning that the screen may be swiveled and tilted). These models are designed for very wide screens (42” and up, or over 100 cm), which require a significant distance from the wall in order to swivel. In such instances, mounts with 2 movements are not far enough from the wall, to allow them to swivel. As a result, Barkan decided not to develop these models, as they don’t provide additional customer value.
ANSWER 2.6: Speaker mount suitability is determined by the weight of the speaker and the method of attachment of the speaker to the mount. For example, Mount 151 is designed for speakers that weight up to 5 kg/11 lbs, and suitable for 5 different connection methods on the back of the speaker. Additional information is available on the product pages, which provide all the information required to verify mount – speaker compatibility.

ANSWER 2.8: The Audio/ Video mount is suitable for all Barkan CRT TV wall mounts, and can carry 1 or 2 components: (VCR + DV D/ converter/ satellite box & other components). Max weight up to 25lbs/ 11 kg.

ANSWER 4.4: The difference is that model 37 is the LCD Mount adaptor extension that fits to the old Barkan 30 series mounts (for screens up to 37"). And model 38 is our LCD Mount adaptor extension that fits to the new Barkan 20 (monitors up to 24") & 30 series mounts (for screens up to 42").
ANSWER 4.5: VESA is an international standard for flat screen (LCD and Plasma) manufacturers and for manufacturers of screen mounts, and defines the manner of attachment using screws. Barkan LCD / Plasma mounts comply with the VESA standard, and are suitable for screens with threading (holes for screws) on the back of screen that comply with the standard 50/75/100/200. Indicated next to VESA compliance means compatibility with screens that have 4 threading holes (holes for screws) on the back of the screen, with the horizontal and vertical distance between each two threading holes according to 50x50mm / 75x75mm / 100x100mm / 100x200mm / 200x200mm / 300x300mm / 400x400mm.
